Hey guys and gals,
I just came across this on the internet today, closed by now but I thought some of you might be interested in viewing and/or following up on it otherwise.I wish I was rich instead of hadsome,I would buy the whole lot LOL. Sorry if this isn't the correct place for this. If link isnt clickable, copy and paste to your browser.

A collection like that and all the effort that went in, is priceless...........................terrible to see it all broken up to the four corners.

yowzer. that is incredible. i would think that liquidating a collection that size would be difficult. it would saturate the market. but i sure would like to pick out a few round fenders.

Wish the Smithsonian Museum would scoop up this entire amazing collection for continued public display.

SAD to see such a fantastic collection as this museum to shut down, dissolve and a massive amount of history to be shut down. Hopefully there will be preservation of these awesome items and equipment.

He didn't have any Cub Cadets that I remember, but Jerry Mez owner of FARMALL LAND sold his entire collection about 1-1/2 yrs ago. Wyatt Compton and his son Haxton and I went through it about 2-3 weeks before closed. I think the fully restored IH #4300 articulated 4wd He had has sold 2-3 times since the on-line auction. Only 49 were built, and it was the nicest of them all. I had my '51 M at the Red Power Round-Up in 2009 when the owner of the 4300 started it up to move it closer to a 1456 to jump start the 1456. That 817 Cid IH 6 cyl diesel is as nice a sounding engine as anyone made. Add the Allison 8 spd automatic transmission and I would have loved to run that 4300 for a couple days chisel plowing.

Not necessarily..............................they have too much stuff and like any other government entity, it is staffed by bureaucrats that are just there for a paycheck, much like the local university. Whatever is donated is likely to be left to the elements once the new wears off. My F-12 was just such a donation, they had it in an ag display, then the funding got cut and it was left to the elements..................and the bureaucracy wouldn't let it go, til "somebody" left and it didn't get in any better shape over those 10 years.
It is my understanding that the Smithsonian has lost parts of the fuel cell tractor that AC donated.

I have several pictures from my visit in 2017. Amazing place.

Too bad it's on the wrong side of the country.

I'd like to make a pass at that RC bullnose and some early Cub Cadet accessories. I know the Scout will go for obscene money.
