Is this a single engine or a twin engine.
I just don't know and can't find an answer.

Please "Pros", help a newbie out.

Thanks

Kohler Courage motors are well known as having lots of issues. Not just in CCs either! You can find a Briggs or Kawasaki to replace the Courage. Changes to charging circuit needed but very doable swapped.

Where would I begin to find a replacement Briggs or Kawasaki motor.

Tha ks for the info.

Search Facebook marketplace, craigslist etc. I found a dealer trying to sell a Briggs for one once. Likely, you will need a bit of patience. Hopefully this is not your only mower. If so you are in a tough spot. Good luck to you.

David ,if you can find a good used kohler "command" it MIGHT be an easy swap.Mike said it, the wiring is the issue and maybe the throttle linkage is not the same on other brand engines. Do some more research before you buy just another engine.....
