New to this forum, I was wondering if anybody has ever put a Kohler K301 12 hp into a cub cadet 1100? What do I have to do to be able to do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First off WELCOME!

The 1100 uses the same engine ISO mount rails as the 1200 which had a K301 in it. There might be some subtle differences in the actual engine mounting hardware. The drive shaft mount where it connects to the engine might have some differences as well. I would suggest comparing the 1100 with the 1200 on the Cub Cadet Parts Lookup website. Oh, and you might have to change out some wiring connections. Also, the 1100 is considered a garden tractor so I've moved your thread to the correct forum area.
