Picked up an older IH cub cadet very cheap at an auction a few years ago. Got it running and used it to drive the kids around a bit. Ran into some issues so I started to take apart and am at a point where I’m not sure if it’s worth fixing. Body is decent not rusted just some age related where and tear. Motor needs a tune but is solid (14hp Kohler), I can’t figure out year and model of serial number, it’s a 1450 hydrostatic. Any advice on these? Where can I find year and model with serial number? Manuals anywhere out here?

thanks for any help

605125 makes it a 1977, built in the month of March. About all you'll need to know can be found by digging around in this site. The FAQ is a good resource and downloadable manuals are available. Welcome, and Merry Christmas! :)

Welcome aboard and Merry Christmas Chris!
Where are you in IL?

Post this in the IH Cub Cadet Forum section and ask away. A list of what you feel are the issues will yield some answers I'm sure.
IMHO, Most IH Cub Cadets are usually always worthy repairing.

I have of these 1450's and about to reassemble and install a fresh engine on one.
