I spoke to Digger and was approved to post this.
I am looking for some help. First let me ask for commitment and follow through.
A friend of mine has an 80 something year old neighbor who was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor. He has owned this 1450 since new. It was his baby ! Up to a few years ago he was still mowing the church's lawn with it.
I am looking for someone to come get the mower and care for it as he did. Either get it running and use it or restore it.
I dislike putting free because people say they want it and don't show up or resell it. If you can be honest and commit to coming and getting it along with using it, you are our person !
It is at my ranch in Pottsboro Texas. That's about 1.5 hour north of Dallas on the Texas/Oklahoma border. If you are interested let me know when you could come get it.
Thanks Lenda and Mike

1450 - My favorite IH Cub Cadet.
Appears to be a later unit from the series since it has the silver IH triangular cap for the steering column. It likely has the 1" front wheel bearings as well. Can't see the engine but most likely a Kohler K321AQS withOUT balance gears.
No question about it in my mind - one of the best machines ever built by IH.
