Hi,
I’m here looking for input on Cub Cadets I will be looking at as a project for my son (10) and myself. I have plenty of mechanical ability, but have never worked on a garden tractor.

We will mostly be using it as a mower, but will try to collect all of the originally available attachments for whatever model we find.

We may not end up with a Cadet, but the early models do check most of our boxes. I prefer as much metal and as little plastic as possible. It has to be American made, and the closer in appearance to a full size tractor the better.

We will also be looking at a case 444. We like that the rear tires are larger like a tractors.

If it posts correctly the photo shows the seller’s Cadets on the far end. We will be driving out tomorrow, and hopefully will be able to take better pics than the owner did.

Thanks.

Hi Billy! Welcome to the club. Good luck on your search for the right tractor.

Welcome Billy!
Any of the last three in that row would be fine. The first four, I would leave. The fourth one looks like a cub cadet, but appears cobbled up. Check the last three for attachments, like a rear lift, headlights, creeper gear (low range),etc.
Hope you can make a deal!
