I own a 1863 Garden Tractor, I was told it was manufactured in 1996. Due to my health, my wife mows more than I do. I would like to convert it over to power steering. I have seen some used components for sale on line, but I do not know what will work. Will the valve/lower steering box and steering cylinder from an 1864 work? If I have to I can have the bracketing and hoses fabricated.

Thank you for any advise on this.

If your 1863 has hyd. lift, then yes, the PS components from the 1864 should transfer right over. Make sure you get all of the hyd. lines, including the return.

If you don't have hyd. lift, it's a much more difficult process.....
