Hello everyone. Been a long time lurker, finally posting. I purchased my first IHCC this summer. It’s a 1972 149. Came with a 42” push blade, QA42A snowblower, and a 48” mowing deck. Resealed the engine, got it running, popped some wheelies, and then threw the snow gear on it. Needs work, but it’s running strong to clear snow. Plan is to restore it back to factory this summer. Mowing deck is in rough shape cosmetically, but still solid. Not rusted out. Currently in search of a mule drive and carriage for that. If anyone has a spare one, let me know
My name is Kyle, I live in Southeast Minnesota. I’m a heavy equipment mechanic, so I have many tools at my expense. Sandblast bay, paint booth, specialty tooling, etc…I’ve definitely caught the IHCC fever and check the local CL for new deals daily. I’ve even started “restoring” the small ERTL toys. My wife thinks I’m crazy, but it keeps me busy and I enjoy it.
I’ve learned SO much from this website so far, and hope to learn more from some of you “old timers” and hopefully keep the IHCC fever alive!
First 2 pictures are when I first saw the Cub, 3rd is first day home. 4th is how it currently is. Blower in the first 2 pictures is my “parts” blower. I picked up a really clean, with the gearbox blower to run instead.
