Had I paid attention this forum no longer lets post for earlier than 76 I wouldn't have joined.

Jody welcome,,,,, but try again we have all years covered here

Jody: So did I!! It haunts me every day! There's so much information here it will make your head swim more than Canadian beer! It will tempt you to buy another and then another Cub Cadet. Run, Jody, RUN!
However, Charlie let ya in. I'll say WELCOME, but it makes me wonder about the "vetting process". Terribly negative attitude for a first post.

Maybe this is what happened?
Lawn tractors include the 76, 80, 81, 111, 1100 and 182 thru 482 - pretty much if it has a B&S and a belt...
Jody confused year with model?

Yep, Ol' Jody has a 71. Whether or not he comes back, it could get interesting to see if his negative THREAD remains.

LOL,I was just teasin Albert....im still undecided as of yet. Part of me wants to go back original, the other part of me I want to customize it...

Amy,
I never seem to be able to just return anything to original except maybe a light fixture by replacing the light bulb. When you come across anything really old and in good condition keep it that way. Gathering used parts in order to build another whatever than the door is open for ones imagination. I have six cubs 2-100, 1-102, 2-122 and the last one is a 149. They all pretty much well used and abused but with a little effort or brain power they all will be something. Not solid pink but the door is open for maybe pink strips on a purple background.
All is GOOD HERE! Retirement starts next week the shop is heated and they are all wanting a little attension the fun begins.
Al

Albert, congrats on the retirement. Ive been medically retired from the beginning of this year. I enjoy keeping busy here at home an enjoy my yard work and mowing days. I just mowed the yard one last time yesterday, now to finish the snow thrower an get it mounted for winter
