Frankentractor? Well, it says 70 on the hood, Has a 10 hp. engine, and the seller said the serial on the transmission was from a 73.

I bought it knowing it had clutch problems. The seller also told me it had governor problems. I found out tonight that the governor shaft coming out of the engine goes round and round-no tab on it for the flyweights to push against inside, I presume. I haven't opened it up yet, but suspect the flyweights have gone AWOL as well.

My question: Does anyone offer an aftermarket governor gear and flyweight assembly for this engine? The Kohler part numbers I am coming up with are A237031 which subs to 47-042-02. But if I search Ebay for K241 governor gear, several other part numbers show up. Are there different governor assemblies for different K241 spec. numbers?

Thanks!
