My dad bought a 100 around 1980 when I was about 3 yrs old. I learned to mow on that Cub and in 2009, dad gave it to me. I used it for the first couple years to mow my yard until I bought a 126. I’ve made several modifications to the 100 including separating the brakes from the clutch and adding a brake pedal to the right side. Dual hydraulics were added using a GM power steering pump and a 2-spool valve from a JD317. Headlights were added as well. In 2005, I decided to tear it down for a quick re-paint. Fast forward 5 yrs and there’s finally light at the end of the tunnel. The front spindles have been beefed up to trailer hubs with 4.00/8 tri ribs.

Thanks guys.
The heim joints are QA1 brand that I bought from Amazon. I had to use a die to cut the threads a little farther back on the drag link to get the ends screwed on farther for the correct length. The end at the steering box was binding at full left turn so I added some short spacers between the heim joint and steering box.

Really looks great. I like that you didn’t paint the hardware. Not sure if everything was painted when new, but I like unpainted nuts and bolts at most places. Not sure if there is a general rule for this. What kind of paint did you use? Again, great work and thanks for the pictures.

and converted the rear axles to studs and lug nuts
Where did you get the studs and lug nuts? Are they pressed in, or screwed in from the back? If pressed, did you have to drill out the original holes?
I just changed my tires for the 1st time since 1996.. and thought. "What a PITA to get these lined up"...

Thanks!
Some of the hardware is painted since I sprayed another coat on after I assembled the dash tower and rearend to the frame. For paint, I’m using Vansickle enamel with hardener.

The studs are pressed in and the holes had to be drilled out.
