I had a little frustration with this one. A couple months ago I picked up a very used CW36 and the side bearing on the drive side was junk. The rollers were all gone. Thankfully CCS had a complete bearing kit!
The problem was that the cw36 is an odd setup compared to the newer more desirable models. The chain rides on the outside of the bucket and the shear pin had bracket needed to be cut off. I welded it back onto the main auger shaft but the weld didn’t hold. I ended up drilling a shear pin hole thru the chain sprocket and the auger shaft in order to get a bolt/shear pin installed. I was surprised that I was able to drill this out. The steel is soft enough to do so.
For anyone else trying to replace these auger bearings, I hope this helps.
