I recently got a 1250. Great shape but no lights!
Today I installed lights. I have clear but I thought these yellow fog lights would be neat.
How many Cub owners have a working hour meter? This one didn't so thought I'd attempt a repair.
A flat blade twisting, gauge face down allows front to come off. Lots of corrosion inside. It's made like an old car analog clock, a solenoid winds it with points switch. I alternated WD-40 and PB Blaster, with Blow-Off air spray. Finally got (escapement I think it's called) free. Finally it ran!
Points close and it winds about once/minute. The short white hand are seconds. Turn key off it runs for another minute.

Thanks for that. I was guessing since it seems like white moves around every minute. If you turn ignition key on-off you hear clock click since points are closed and white hand goes around once. Key on it runs until off showing # hours.

I assumed the same thing when I got my 1650, until someone on here straightened me out as well. Most guys on here are absolute fountains of cub information. Keep up the good work, that tractor is definitely worthy of some lovin!
