Hello! I have a yellow / white Cub Cadet 680, Did than come went HDY LIFT ? Thanks

Roger - according to my 50 years of Cub Cadets book by Oscar Wills, the 680 was manual lift only, but a spring assist was available.

That is correct, the RED version of a 680 is the 1282, by the way. Hydro, 12 HP Kohler, manual lift. Added to the lineup due to demand for a 1250 replacement, more or less.

To add hydraulic lift would be an expensive proposition. If you compare the 682 and 782 parts you could get a good idea on new parts cost. You need a ported hydro pump, the lift cylinder, lines and control valve plus the mounting for them.
Bill's suggestion of spring assist makes the most sense and saves big cents. The spring assist works great on them!

Thanks To All, I will keep my 680 original. it was sold new in Albemarle n.c and still in Albemarle n.c
