Hello, I have a question about a tire issue with my Cub Cadet 1525. The rear tire is a strange 20x9-8, NOT 20x8-8, which is the only tire size that is close. Since I cannot find any 20x9-8 tire size, I was thinking about using 20x8-8 tire TUBES. I can reuse the existing damaged 20x9-8 tire and put a tube inside of it. Would this work? Thanks.

The original MTD part number for the 20-9-8 tires was 734-3189. Per Cub Cadet, these have been superseded to MTD 734-1873-0901 which are the 20-10-8. Also CARLISLE 5111011 is an acceptable replacement in 20-10-8 size.

Thanks for the replies. 1811Cub, am I able to use MTD 734-1873-0901 instead of the original tires on the tractor? Could I also use the CARLISLE 5111011 tires? Thank you!

Yes, that is the size tire that MTD is recommending to replace the obsolete oddball sized tires
