I recently purchased one in seemly good condition. I used it the first day for an hour or so and the drive belt from the engine to the deck disappeared in a cloud of smoke. I bought another and installed it and got another hour or so of use before it melted. Got another belt and after a few minutes used I smelled heated rubber. It seems that the idler arm pulley when engaged rubs against the belt guard which has been worn done over time. There does not seem to be a position I can adjust the brake rod to that clears the belt when engaged. Is there anything I can adjust the idler pulley travel so they do not rub? Gale
