Cub cadet 1282 questions

this is to anyone who might be able to help me out here.. I found a 1282 w/o a deck for $650. heres the link-

Did they run peerless trannies in them? I am not too up on the 82 series. I know there rare though. its only like an hour away from me so i might have to pick it up just because. Any and all input greatly appricieated.

It's not a peerless, it's a hydro. It's basically a 1250 that looks like an 82 series. It is not particularly rare, either.

my own posts. I do believe we let the 82 series slide as they were made during the <FONT COLOR="ff0000">I</FONT><FONT COLOR="000000">H</FONT> to MTD transition. You didn't even mention that the 1282 is a Garden Tractor not a Lawn Tractor, that's the bigger issue here IMO.
