Have a Champion 4500/3500 for a number of years now. So far have not had much trouble with it. I do have to remember to shut off the fuel line when done or it will sometimes overflow the carb and put gas in the oil.

Ran for a week powering my kids house after the derachio a couple years ago. Change the oil per the manual. Can't recall how many hours but between 50 and 100...

Bought a larger electric start champ for moms house after that and only needed it once for a day or 2 so far but it seems ok.

As far as I know most brands are made in China but there are quality differences brand to brand.

Russ delivered it to me today.
Turned out it's a 7000 Watt unit??
Gonna use it to rum the cement mixer at the cemetery foe foundation restoration.

I have gotten all the good exercise I need as of late.
The boys dropped 2 HUGE 3'+ diam ash trees yesterday and topped a third one.
That plus the big walnut tree 2 weeks ago and my *** id dragging every night.
Go most of the brush cleaned up and burnt already, now on to the big stuff.
Ash brush is the most awful stuff to handle by hand on and off a trailer.
FREE FIREWOOD!! Bring a truck, any takers??

I gotta disagree, ash ain't to bad compared to pine. I hate everything about pine, the needles poking ya, the sap all over the place, even when your building something with it, it leaves pitch on your blades. Damn, I hate doing anything with pine. The needles will even plug my brush chipper!

Well, they all got a hot foot the last few days.
Except for the big stuff, all that's left of the brush from these two HUGE trees and most of another is a pile of ashes.
I don't know what I would have done without the 149 DanCo unit.
The fork lift attachment Les built is a back saver for sure.
Excellent idea with a likewise result.
This steel was all stacked under one of the trees that has to come down.
We had to move it in order to get it topped as some was hanging over the shao the gets a new roof this week.
The tree leans and quite an angle over the pile and the driveway so Les had to top as much as he could off that side.
He v can't drop it the way it leans as it will likely tear up the black top drive/street. Will have to get a big tractor in here to pull it the other way after notching it.

I hope you can get this short clip to play.

If I were closer, I'd came take it all in 6 or 8 foot lengths. This was part of an ash that fell in my neighbors woods. I'm a fan of the almost extinct ash tree.
