Kraig,
Maybe it is time to do what we were talking about the other day via email.
No point in kickin a dead horse just to see if it's still alive!

Charlie,

With all that weight on the rear wheels, did you have any issues with the center of the rims wanting to bulge out?

I think everyone is on vacation.

Not a bit.
Course having wheel spacers helps a little.

Need a little input form the group? Working on a 149. Been setting for about 3-4 years waiting for me to switch out a bad engine (PO had put it back together with a cracked block). Got the engine in and running good. Now here is the problem. When I parked it, it was working OK in fact Scott pushed snow with it one winter. After getting the engine lined out I thought I would take it for a spin. No forward, has reverse but will not go forward. Nothing behind the tower was touched just pulled and replaced the engine. Hydro is full all linkages move manual buttons are up. Any thoughts.

Buttons are "up" no Forward,,, This analysis will be dismissed quickly////
BUT,,,,, I suspect a ball inside one of Your relief valves are "Stuck" in the "BOTTOM" of relief valve,,,
Same thing happen to me when my 149 was drug downhill by a 3,000lb trailer,,,, anyway my suggestion would be to remove both reliefs and manually move balls upward with something that will fit in the bottom opening of relief, then reinstall reliefs and give it a go,,,,

If linkage is all Good that would be "MY" first course of action,,,

Just My 2cents,,,, happy / hopeful ,,,,

Jason W. Great action shots. And a good diagnosis with a sticking check relief valve.

Every time I see the American flag, I think of all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we could have our freedom.
The red in the flag makes me think of the blood they shed for our freedom.
As long as this flag is around, I will never forget.

I should be working on Iron Patriot today but instead I'm watching some classic war pictures in my man cave and reflecting on those who gave all for us and the American way of life.god bless the United States of America!

Trying to sling some paint today, in spite of the wind (since I'm painting in God's paint booth).....

Steve,

Do you ever have any problems with bugs when you paint outside in the open?
If I tried that here, they would come by the hundreds! I believe it draws them.

Nothing more frustrating than a bug getting in it after putting down an almost flawless coat of paint!

Ok a question where is the breather on my k301a I looked in my service manual it shows the breakdown and how to reassemble it correctly but the illustration of the motor shows it in a spot the doesn't make sense and I don't see it where the manual shows it on my motor

Sometimes, but today was cool enough to keep them away, a bit windy too....sjot the black I'm the wind, and the red after 6pm when the wind laid....

Done...Not the best paint I've ever laid down, but not the worst either......angle iron is a $%$@# to paint when it's all welded together in a disk frame!!!!

Now the trick is to be patient for about 3 days while everything sets up good and hard before I try and assemble everything again......then break out the touch up paint!!!!

Red is IH IronGuard 2150 acrylic enamel with Martin Senior CP734 reducer. Black is Rustoleum Gloss Black straight enamel thinned with mineral spirits. Shot with an El-Cheap-O HVLP gun......
