Digger,

Does this mean I have a military motor?

Marty,
When you said those 'whoppers' could float that baby on water, heck maybe that's why they say "Flotation" on the sidewall? Ha!

To keep a little on topic here's a comparison shot of the whopper 26-12-12's Firestones next to the dinky 23-8.50-12's Firestones on my stock 100.

A shout out to Wayne S. who tackled a job, stuck with it, kept us informed with posts and pics. Don T. would be proud.

I wasn't done, yet.

About 18 years ago I started getting into old Cub Cadets with a 105. 13 years ago I found this site and a mentor in Don T. I digress. 18 years into this hobby/addiction I get a new neighbor. He buys a motorcycle and asks me to take my trailer to go to where he bought the bike. When we got there he told me he'd ride the bike home, the trailer was to bring this 73 home, which he'd bought for me - for $100! Right place, right time, it happens!

I hear ya Frank! and thanks!

I do still miss that ole Canadian.

Now I'm wondering what to tackle next. This heat has got to stop! I can't even think of doing anything in the middle of the day.

.

So I get a call this morning at 6:30 from a guy 53 miles from me saying he's got a bunch of NOS parts he wants out of the way.
I ask how much he has and how much he's asking.
He replies bring a truck and $300.00 cash.
I head out, load up and start sorting, LOL
And this isn't all of it!

Wayne,

This is my least favorite time of the year.
Too hot and too humid to paint or sandblast.

To top that off I got bee stung yesterday morning while trying to paint my 100, and my hand is swelled up.
I can't even see my knuckles, and it itches and hurts like crazy.

I was hoping to clean up that nasty Kohler today, but instead I took a Benadryl and it put me to sleep.

Come on October!

Charlie,

Nice haul!
Looks like you are going to need a bigger building!

Marty-

You aren't telling me anything I haven't experienced for most of my life. I've never liked July or August living in NC.

I guess I'll tackle my 1250 and get the pump to rear end gasket issue settled now. It's only been about a year and a half. I've held off because the brake return spring is the one that is a simply pita. I hope to include pics. I miss this machine because it has always been a real strong unit. I installed hydraulic lift and really need it in the garden.

.

Wayne,

It may just be me, but it seems like lately it has been one setback after another keeping me from working on my cubs.
It's depressing.

I just talked to my parents in Va. and they said it is 68 degrees and low humidity!
78 degrees and HUMID here.

Going to turn on the AC in the shop, clean off the lift table and get the 100 on it that I picked up at RPRU and get the steering repaired so it will at least go in a straight line!!

If I were to mow with it in it's present state of non-repair, I'm afraid the neighbors would accuse me of MWI.

Frank, looks like said model with some off brand fenders grafted onto it, rather nicely too

Frank,

As Scott mentioned about the fenders, the yellow floorboards and high back seat threw you off!

Frank,

You think someone may have stuck a 10hp in it?
I can't tell from here.

Ok I got some time this weekend to poke at 1450 my neighbor and I figured out the monstrosity of a wiring harness that many other people butchered over the years.it cranks strong now.got the starter solenoid situation figured out,but it wont start!!!we traced it back to the ignition switch...it's the wrong one for this application the po must have swapped it for some reason maybe not realizing that he had broke the connecting rod????idk.so I'm going to my cub cadet guy tomorrow after work to pick up the proper switch...man stuff getting deep with this tractor, but I see light at the end of the tunnel!!could be a train though LOL

Digger...get any 1450 decal kits in that pile of gravy you scored????LOL
