Here are some before photos of my Killer Kohler, or in this state is would more appropriately be called a dead Kohler. Note the stack of washers that a previous owner had put on in place of a proper spacer.

Here are some photos of the Killer Kohler after David got through with it.

Note the breather cover. That is a piece of machined aluminum that David designed (and sells on his website) with the tubing it directs the oily gases down and away from the engine preventing that oily buildup that ends up on all Kohlers. Also the machined aluminum fuel pump block off plate. Photos do not do justice to the quality of these parts. Also note the tubing and how it can be routed below the tractor frame.

Tim Keefe, like everything I do, a little overkill is a good thing! LOL.. It's 4 foot long, about 2 foot diameter. When I say it's loud, it's LOUD! I've done aluminum valve covers, intake manifold, small engine gas tanks and some other stuff. When I did the last gas tank I set it up and let it run overnight. That tank came out looking new! Great pics Kraig! Be sure to show us the tractor after install.

Matt, thanks. Oh you can be sure I'll take photos. My problem is I don't have a tractor that looks good enough to put this into. I'm going to have to completely refurbish a tractor now. Good thing I bought a set of decals and some other parts way ahead of time for a planned refurbish of my #1 125. Now I have great incentive to get it underway. David did an awesome job on it, it sure is pretty. I could use a glass display case for the K301. I wonder if my wife will let me display it in the living room....

Not likely.

Geez Kraig,
Now I know why I don't want to restore a tractor/engine, no way could I put that in and run it!

Charlie, for the initial start and warm up to re torque the head bolts I'll just have to consider the tractor as an engine stand not a tractor.

BTW, is your email ready for some video clips of Brian and Matt's turbo diesel mini-bike?

Boy I love "shiny" stuff. Looking good Kraig!!!

I could use a little I.D. help. I going to look at a Cozy Cab later this week they have no idea what it's from. The colors are right to be for a Cub but how do I tell if it will fit a 102 or wide frame style fenders? It's almost free so I don't want to pass it up.

Kraig,
Bring'um on!

Brendan,
It's hard to say without seeing pics, they did make several styles of cabs for Cubs.

May have to just buy it anyhow. I looked through the archives but only found pics of them on wide frames so that didn't help much to see a difference. It needs a couple pieces of glass but I'm not bellow using plexi

The one I'm lookin at is the all metal cab. From what I remember from a quick look this summer, it looks identical the one you have.

That looks like it. Is there enough of a difference that I might have problems fitting it to a 102 if it was off lets say a 129 ?

Brendan B.
It should fit, you might have to add a brace or two for the back side though.
And do some adjusting where it fits over the hood/dash.

Thats good to hear. It's missing the panel that screws on in front of the lift lever but thats easy to make. The back glass is missing and one side glass I think. I can get it for $50.
