JJ: If it was me (and I wish it was!) I'd be getting a parts/repair manual for it and making frequent trips to this site. Congrats! Oh, and as you know:

JJ , U may want to check fuel tank & replace fuel lines, clean & flush the tank . Update glow plugs & replace both fuel filters. If replacing battery, put highest CCA, 350+ U can get. Put the muffler vertical for that Big Tractor look.Add Cat.0 3 point hitch for Plow Days...

You will love that tractor. The guys have made some great suggestions and with the battery, I went with an Interstate. I never updated my glo plugs though.

JJ, she's a beauty! One other thing to check is the ground connection from the battery to the frame. I believe the battery is grounded to the fender pan and there might be rust between the fenders and the frame. Myron Bounds and others always suggests improving that ground connection.

For help to start in COLD weather, the addition of Kubota block heater #70000-73595 or Zerostart/Philips- Temro #3100099 /400watt (30mm frost plug). Service bulletin CC-106...2/9/1987................. Battery ground cable added from battery neg. to engine lift eyelet attaching bolt @ rear of engine. 14" cable, 6 gauge wire & 2 .250 HD wire eyelets soldered on each end of wire.

Nice looking machine. You will never want gas again. Would think about changing hydro fluid and filter. Also the engine oil, filter and air filter.

...and both fuel filters and the fuel lines. Don't forget to use a lubricity/anti-gel additive like Power Service.
