Does anybody know how a 782D with 50c deck mows compared to a comparable gas model? A guy told me last night that the diesel model has a higher blade speed than a gasser. Curious if anyone else has experienced this. Thanks!

Should be exactly the same...max RPM of the Kubota is 3600, just like the gas engine models.

From all that I've read, the Kubota D600 runs out at 3200 RPM's, which is 400 less than a standard K series in other Cubs.

You have to understand that they are only 15 H.P. engines, but have tons of torque.

Wasn't there a speedup pulley available for that series mower deck ?

I did put mulcher( Gator) blades on mine & that really helped when Mow n Vaccing.

I thought I saw 3600 in the manual, but it's been a few years

At any rate, the PTO clutch pulley should be sized to make the blades turn the same speed.

Yes, Matt my 882 brochure shows * Performance Curve* SAE -J1349 with the D-600 rated up to 3600 RPM.
