Was looking at the serial number tag on my engineless 782. The tractor does have the cast iron rear diff. The tag slightly different than my 1512 and 1711. Specifically the location (Brownsville vs Cleveland) and the Model number format. Is this just the first year of transition to Cub Cadet or is something missing from this model/serial number tag?

Thanks,

That is an early CCC produced tractor. I have not seen a tag that has a model number like that (782 142 U). Looks like the 1,642 one built by CCC in early 1981. Cool find.
