782 Front electric PTO 'click'?

Working through some wiring on the 782.
With Engine Off...If I just put 12V to the single wire connector coming out of the front 'Clutch' Should I hear a noise of engagement if it is functioning correctly?

Good advice.. Even if I don't hear teh clickk I can see it the Pulley is 'locked ' with the switch ON.
 
I could be wrong on this : But I think the electric PTO`s get 12 volts to engage and then the voltage is dropped with the two position switch to hold the magnet in place with lower voltage . I though 12 volts constant will damage the PTO coil causing an over heat and burn out or short.
