I have had trouble with the hydraulics on this tractor for about a year (bought a new CC since it started so I can mow), but took a few months off from the problem - now I'm back to it and will try to get it solved.

Has anyone ever had the hydraulic relief valve on the hydrostatic transmission, on the 3205, stick in the by-pass position? I think mine is and I'm about ready to pull the transmission (so I can get at it) and take a look.

Thanks.

Pat

You don't have to pull the transmission.

I'm no expert on these new machines, but since yours has one main relief valve and an auxiliary, I'd say take the valve out and clean it up and see if that solves the problem.

Todd,

Sorry this is about five months late in answering your question, but; I still have not figured out a solution to my problem.

I just cannot get hydraulic pressure to the transmission or the power steering, nothing. I have replaced the hydro pump, rebuilt the hydro selector block and replaced the relief valve. Still no pressure. Any other ideas? I tried priming the pump but that is very difficult.

Here is the HYDRO GEAR BDU21/10L SERIES SERVICE/REPAIR MANUAL. It has a section for trouble shooting your transmission. It's hard to diagnose without pictures, previous use history, etc. So providing this manual is the best way to help.

Patrick, Marlin has you pointed in the right direction with the manual. Is the relief on the bottom of the case all the way out? Hydro-Gear also had an issue with the early gerotor assemblies failing but you say you changed that. Let us know how it goes.
