I have a friend who has an 1862 and the mower deck drive belt has broken into pieces. Could someone tell me the correct length and width so I can get him a belt. I have him now convinced to have spare belts

. I will have to get an after market because our cub dealer will take weeks to get another and the grass is growing way to fast to wait for him. Thanks Don T

PTO to 54" deck !

Don, dont know how much help this is:
Belt for 54" deck = 754-3048
Only desc I can find:
Belt, PTO, B Section X(by) 107.8 long.

Allen, you just jogged my memory. I have the Cub Cadet belt and blade reference guide. 1862 sn: 800000 to 821060 with 54" deck uses 954-3001 which is 21/32 x 91 11/16. Please don't hold me to the fire if any of that is wrong. Just trying to help!

Don, I got my origional info from a MTD operators manual.
I just looked at Charlies extended FAQ's about 'what belts do I use'...page 1 sez 1862 uses 954-3001 like Jerry mentioned. (for a 54" deck)

Thanks guys I gave him the info and told him he should always have a spare belt for his tractor.I think it sunk in this time lol. Thanks Don T

Found this from a few years ago. I have to order new bake shoes for an 1862 for a friend. I see Charlie has a pair listed for an 1863

Rear disc brake puck kit PN/ IH-83797-C1 USE 759-3688

Will these fit an 1862 / they look the same but I would rather know for sure before I order them . Thanks Don

Don,
The 1862 and 1863 will use the same brakes, so you are good to go with Charlie's parts...

Thanks Jim , I kind a thought they were and just needed some one to confirm . It is a long way from my place to Charlies to ship and I wanted to be sure. I give him my business when ever possible.
