1812 oil injected ?

Ran great 2 years ago. Got it running today and oil is gushing out of the breather tube ? Whats the best repair ?

Does it smell like gas? Didja check the oil before you started it?

No gas. yes it was full.

I would make sure the breather reed valve and filter is clean and working properly. Worst case is there is excessive cylinder blow-by that is overloading the crankcase ventilation system.

Breather is malfunctioning, excessive blowby, or was overfilled with oil.

Yeah, fuel pump or needle and seat has gone bad.

Why? Fix the carb and/or fuel pump and change the oil. This is an extremely common issue with these engines. No need to throw the baby out with the bath water.

I think it should come of without taking all that stuff off, but it has been awhile. I'd do a better job of cleaning before any further disassembly though.

That is the "old" breather. New one is a metal reed valve and should actually work.

If you order a new OEM breather assembly, that is what you will get.

You will need at minimum:

quantity of two KH-52-055-01-S gaskets

KH-231419-S filter

lower cylinder valve KH-52-035-02-S
