Yesterday i was out pushing some gravel with my 1711. I really havent used it much and this was the first time full throttle without the mower deck. I general it seems to be a very loud motor (kt17 series II). Is this normal or should I be looking into replacing the muffler? I know while working on the motor I had some backfires and I wonder if the muffler baffles area shot.

Any thoughts?
