1450 Safety switch

I need to remove the old "Lever" that connects to the safety switch, Tried to tap it out with a screw driver but didn't want to do more harm than good. Has anyone replaced one before? Hope my pictures explain what i'm trying to accomplish. Thanks!

That should just clip on and off. The roll pin is there to keep it from rotating on the shaft. No need to remove the roll pin just push the clip away from the rock shaft.
