1430 purchase

We are thinking of purchasing a 1430. Is there anything we should especially look at when we are checking it out? Also is it a hydro? (Are all cub cadets hydros?)

Beth, I'm not familiar with the 1430 but from looking at the Parts Lookup it appears that it is a hydro. No, not all Cub Cadets are hydros, many are gear drive. The 1430 is a Lawn Tractor and is not as heavy duty as a Garden Tractor. If all you wish to use it for is mowing your lawn it should do that just fine. If you are wanting to do more with it such as snow removal or garden related activities you'd be better off looking for an older Garden Tractor. Hopefully someone with some experience with the 1430 will post.
