Just some pics for info sake..these sunstrand hydros have some parts most of us would consider not great...These fine spline parts connect hydro to gear side and have a tendecy to wear out.Once they slip they are not going to drive anything...I don't know how many models used this hydro but it's worth knowing that cost of those 2 drives is less than $20...The shafts are hardened so pins won't get it. I have friend who is full time cub wrench and he says this is the most common thing wrong with the sunstrands.This my third experience,not difficult to take apart and a good time to replace common bearings....for what it's worth !!
