I am trying to figure out what exactly is wrong with my 125. I have never had to mess with my drive shaft, so I don't know how it was prior to my issue. During its last use, I suddenly lost drive functionality and I heard a squealing. I determined that the transmission linkage was still functioning. I took off the housing between the dash and the engine and noticed the engine was driving the shaft up to what appears to be a coupling. But behind the coupling it is not turning. I have looked in my manuals and online and don't seem to see the identical setup. So I am wondering if this is a homemade repair. Can anybody assist me in determining what the fix is?
I circled the point at which it is disconnected.
Thanks,
Dan

Dan, bring your question and picture to the main forum. but quickly you have a bizarr modifacation that has busted loose.

The drive shaft originaly had a pin in it that fit into a notched coupler that bolted to the engine.

Yours appears to have the drivshaft welded to the couler.

Bring over to the main page for more response
