Gents, looking to sell my 100 for $400.00 or trade for an Original.
The good: new rings, new starter generator, fenders
The bad: steering wheel needs to be restored and PTO does not disengage.

Charlie. I just like restoring them. Cost doesn't really matter that much. Just looking for an Original!

Rieo, that is a nice looking IH Cub Cadet 100 you have restored so far!

Wow wish I could have a way to make a deal like that. My old pick up is only good for somewhat local runs. I had some notices in my mail folder but never got a email to make me aware of it. Got to check my settings.

I just posted an Original for sale. I am in Indiana, and not interested in a trade at this point, but it's food for thought. Good luck with your sale and your search!

1979 International Harvester Cub Cadet 1250 (12 hp Kohler) with Hydrostatic drive and 44-inch deck. Has been in regular service since new; purchased new by my father-in-law. I inherited it in 2008 and my son’s had it since 2018. It’s finally being retired in favor of a zero-turn.

Comes complete with a snow blade, wheel weights and chains. Deck replaced once, still solid. Includes original purchase documents, extensive service records, original owner’s manuals, both hardcopy, and PDF service manuals.

Everything works, the engine smokes on start-up, and uses oil but doesn’t foul the spark plug. I’m not up to restoring it, so it needs a new home. Located near Akron, OH. $575.

Marty, I am actually from Oakboro, NC. So not that far from you. This is the 100 that I just bought last week. I am currently adding headlights and doing some TLC things. Then I hope to clear coat it and leave it with the patina look. I am searching for a better set of rear wheels. The set on it now, was repainted and is also flaking off badly, which takes away from the original look of the tractor.

Yes, that 100 has the factory installed GOOD-YEAR 4.00/4.80x8 rib frt tires.
Unfortunately I've discovered that Good-Year tires do not have the shelf life that FIRESTONE tires have. I've got a Firestone large rear tractor tire Dad bought about 1960, maybe 1962, about the same time the first Cub Cadets were assembled and shipped from Louisville and my Firestone tire still looks nearly brand new 60 years later, the Good-Years on many of my Cub Cadets have suffered catastrophic failures, huge rips in the tire casing. I had to put a large tire "boot", a nylon cord reinforced tire casing patch in one of my Cubbies' frt tires like those, it blew out sitting still in my shop just minutes after I parked it, I heard it blow. I ONLY buy Firestone tires now. I may buy a pair of MITAS tires, made in Charles City, Iowa, Firestones come at a pretty high premium price.
