    Good thought on the hood hitting. Temporarily put the grill and hood on last night and had about an inch clearance. So going to get it welded up as I have it now.

    Did some more research. Saw a few mentions of 27.5 inches so I am close. Also saw mention of the shaft sticking out 2 inches past the column which I will check later today. Any thoughts on the bearing part number?

    Been a member for quite awhile but first post. Working on my great grandfather's old 123 after sitting in pieces for 10 years. Not really restoring just getting in back to running order four now Took the steering column apart and didn't like the pitting I saw there so got what I thought...
