More help on my 1250 reverse problem please - fluid, gasket, and filter have been replaced, and swapped in a working relief valve, but still no reverse (and swapped the forward valve over just to make sure). Forward's great, but I can't even get the lever to move more than about 2" below center...

Thanks. I had removed the back plate and cleaned out the sludge - it wasn't terrible, but it did need it. I followed the guide word for word until I couldn't fit a funnel around my tiller gearbox to get to the filler hole. Lesson learned, and syphon to the rescue tonight. Thanks all!

Well I thought I'd save myself some trouble on my 1250 hydro fluid change, but I was wrong. Since I had my relief valves out to clean/switch/repace, I thought I could pour in the hytran through the valve opening so I wouldn't have to work around my gearbox. I bet you all know what happened next...

Thanks Harry - I figured my luck they were threaded backwards and I'd really mess things up. There are no buttons on the valves, and there was a mess of gunked up fluid around the valves, so I bet it is bad. I've got a 1450 as a parts tractor, so I'll try pulling that valve tomorrow to swap in...

Quick question before I break something too bad: my 1250 isn't wanting to reverse, but forward is fine. I'm changing the fluid and generally cleaning the hydro, and I've seen a couple of places to clean the two valves under the tunnel cover as the hopeful fix fo this problem. My question is just...

Marlin, I rolled the 100 into my garage Sunday afternoon. It's still available for trade for a neat Cub attachment, but it may be in pieces and getting shiny soon :-)

Will do - especially if I find a deal on a johnnybucket or a johnson loader!

Thanks Marlin and Donald. I've had my eye on those extreme motorwork kits. I got the Kolpin so I could leave the belly mower on my farmall cub and still use attachments on the back - pretty slick for that! But I'd hate to tear up the 1650, I appreciate the warnings!

I've got a plan to put a dirt scoop on the front of my 1450, and I'd love any advice before I break something. What I have in mind is to weld a receiver hitch onto a front weight bracket. I have one of those battery powered Kolpin category 0 3-point hitches, so the plan is basically to stick...

Seeing if there's any interest in my 100. It's got the round fenders and a rear lift. The motor that's sitting in it is off a 70, but it's not hooked up. Since I'm pretty on the fence about getting rid of it, I'll hold onto it unless I can get $500 (or some neat attachment for my quietlines or...
