I'm curious if anyone of you guys have ever experienced a surging type of throttle response at the upper end of the engine RPM range on a K3201? The only time the 126 sees any usage is during the cold season for snow plowing purposes. This past summer, when I was wanting to start it and run...

Hey! I was wondering if any of you folks have experienced OEM Kohler ignition coil failure issues. I have a new OEM ignition switch, new complete wiring harness, new voltage regulator, new OEM Kohler coil, condenser, points, coil to points wire. My machine a circa 1970 126 has been running and...

Hey..I have gotten my non fully releasing clutch pretty well sorted out on my 126..The holes in the new fiber clutch discs are either a tad too small, or the new 3 pin driver pins are a smidge larger than they used to be..Not sure, but either way, I enlarged the 3 holes a fraction and polished...

Hey thanks Steve B. I was thinking the exact same thing about using a Dremel and sanding drum to slightly open up the pilot bushing..I assume you used some type of grease to lube then d/s end and the bushing? I was thinking of using Lucas synthetic grease there..It's the red tacky stuff!

David S.. Thanks for the heads up...I am confused though on where did you use the washers at? Between the frame rails and the oil pan to raise the engine up a tad? I've gotten this 126 pretty well sorted (I think) and this is they type of thing that makes me crazy, the gear grinding is...

Hey guys...I have a question for the collective brain trust.. I have a circa 1970 model 126 that has a complete new drive line, from the engine, all the back to the transaxle. Everything is new. I have a problem of the drive shaft spinning when the clutch is disengaged and the tractor is...

Hiho neighbors. I am now without a QA42A snowthrower. All the talk about needing a creeper or a hydro put me squarely in the idea that my original train of thought was right..With my bad left knee, climbing on and off to unstop the chute and clean out the auger/drum would be unbearable in the...

Kraig. My drive is gravel, about 200 ft long and 15 ft wide..I have about a 50X75ft parking area..We get both kinds of snow. Earl...Man I have a 147 that needs a LOT of work that I don't have time for. It has not ran in years, but ran when I parked it..I think it has a knock and I know some...

The worst thing about my 126? It's not a Hydro, has a manual lift and no cool hydraulic ports or power steering..Other than that..It's a great old machine...LOL... I'm really kind of at head scratching moment here and starting to dismiss the idea of even trying the QA42A on it this...

Hey, Steve, Kraig and Earl....Thanks for the info on the weights and the weight of the qa42a.. I hope 150 plus lbs is enough weight to offset the 100lb difference in the weight of the 42in blade and the QA42A as to where I can get traction trying to make that first cut with the thrower...

Steve B. Good idea on bolting another weight on top of the mounted one.. Kraig..I have seen weights set up like that, one inside, one outside. I almost bought a set of Bolens weights, as they were right at 50lbs each..I thought they might be too heavy for me wrestle with, so I opted for the...

Earl F. Thanks for the info.. I was thinking the same thing about using carriage bolts. Then it occurred to me the length of the bolts would be dependant on the width of the rim the weights will be bolted to. I would assume that nylock nuts and flat washers would be a decent idea. Are...

Hey guys, do any of you all know if the IH cast front wheel weights that are sometimes found on the International Farmall 140, are the same weight used on the front of the Farmall Cub? Thanks John

Mike. Hey thanks for the operational info..Odd as I was thinking about that very thing you described in partially loading the auger drum..The first pass would be the most difficult to cut through. We rarely get over 6-8-10 inches of snow at once..Maybe it piles up deeper if it snows again...
