    Brinley plow

Back in the day I think there were replacement points that could be welded to fix those, for 14's and 16's but probably not the smaller 10's & 12's Otherwise in needs to be heated in a forge and drawn back out, sharpened and polished.

Not a can of worms or anything else, just another option is all.

Be careful, that style of chains with the grousers will really raise Cain with your driveway & sidewalks if you should spin on some ice.

You would be better off with 2 link chains instead of 4 link.

Auto parts store, those look like generic parts store lights. Probably cheaper to buy new ones than to look for just the lenses.

    Brinley plow

"Back in the day" they were welded, heated in a forge, hammered back into shape on a drop hammer then sharpened and polished on a huge floor grinder/polisher. The Blacksmith shop in my town did a land office business restoring share points in the spring and fall and it was usually my 1st...

    HYTRAN fluid

And $6+ a quart for regular motor oil is not too much!!! But about the same price for hy-tran is???!!!

No reason then why it should not go back on. No one said it would be easy. Drive into it a bit further until the forks on the mount line up with the shoulder bolts. I would consider storing on a roller dolly for easier storage and mounting in the future. Now if you were trying to mount this on...

For starters, the thrower has to go toward the rear of the tractor more, lined up with/on the 2 shoulder bolts in order to clear the grill. Just takes a bit more doing is all Have you had this thrower on this Cub before? What model thrower is it per the tag?

    HYTRAN fluid

Simple...If you pull the plug and the fluid comes out looking like a milkshake, it IS NOT HY_TRAN.

    Exhaust recommendations

She will hate it more with a stack blowing back face not to mention the noise The Quiet Line Cubs are just that, much quieter than the others.

    Parts Wanted Electric Lift

He'd be better off converting it to a hydraulic lift but he would need a ported pump to do so. I'm wondering if he has a spring assist on that unit, that alone would help a lot if adjusted right.

    Pennsylvania Meteor (?)

Lots of that kind of stuff shows up at the huge Portage, WI Garden Tractor Daze, 1st weekend after the 4th every year. This year saw over 1000 Tractors for sale and on display.

Wanting to do engine oil & filter? change for my October 1964 IH Cub Cadet 100 with 10hp Kohler engine.

I'd use the same OE 30 weight oil in the transmission as you used in the engine. It's a gear drive machine. All m y GD's have OE 30 in them. HY-tram will work as well if you want to spend the extra $$ That long bolt you took out probably has a torque spec as well. Get yourself a socket set...

    Best Seat

Break out the black duct tape and have at it. The newer ones or at least the last few replacements I have bought all have the welting that holds the cushion in place come loose and don't want to hold it in place where it is crimped.

1450 engine securing/mounting bolts fell out

Should have had one on it. If it's gone, someone has removed it. Not a big deal to lake one at all.
