Well I got it free. I sprayed some penetrant on it yesterday and tried getting a punch down between everything to tap it a little. Today i found a huge long punch in my dads stuff and got it down thru on to the shoulder of the valve. I didn't want to stress the linkage and hit t couple of times...

    782 Hydraulic lift.

My 782 hasn't had a deck on it for several years. Today I decided to put the deck back on to use. Worked to get the deck down out of the haymow and belt was still with it. The mule drive was never removed. Drove the tractor into the machine shed and went to lower the lift so I could get the deck...

    Corn sheller

According to C.H. Wendle in his book "150 years of International Harvester" it is called the Keystone Pony sheller and was in the line till 1914 when it was replaced by an all steel model. IH purchased the Keystone Manufactoring Company in 1904. So your sheller would have been made between 1904...

    Must not be my day.

Thanks guys for the responces. Started out by jacking up the tractor and putting a 6x6 under the rt rear tire and a 4x4 under thr rt front. Blocked the others so it wouldn't roll. Well first thing is there is no slot in the frame to allow acess on the rt side, only the left. I started out by...

Thanks guys for the replys. I plan checking it out when I get it off. They couldn't have made it more inaccesable. Wedged between the frame and fender beside the battery. The bottom bolts apears to be a treat to get out.

    128 problems

Well I started my problem search by downloading one of Rolland's fancy wiring diagrams. Thanks Rolland. Started out by removing the plug on the ignition switch, no change. So I next removed one set of cables from the solenoid and checked continuity, no continuity so I know it's not stuck. hooked...

    128 problems

my 128 worker developed a nasty problem this morning. Was about 2 hours into rolling my yard when I accidently killed it on a hill. Coasted backwards to the drive and noticed that the engine was still cranking over, turned key off and it continued. Turned key back on and to start position and it...

    Snow thrower

Ok I have a front blade for a wide frame. Decent usable shape probably spent its whole life on the stone floor of a barn. Paint is flacking off pretty bad but not bent or twisted up. Also have a couple of snowthrowers as well. Just going to be a chore to get them out. Blade is in the haymow...

    Frozen hydraulic valve.

I have a CCC built 782. Used mostly for utility yard work. Haven't had a deck on it for 3 years or so. Awile back I tried to move the hydraulic lift lever and the valve is froze up. Any suggestions to free it up. Tractor has always been kept inside since I've owned it

It was even more impressive in person. They had a very nice sign attached to a stake by the left front tire that listed the owner, model, year and cost when new at each cub

Made my first trip ever to Florida to visit wife's sister. Went the Florida Flywheelers show at Fort Mead as they were featuring IH. They had a huge Cadet display. A cub displayed for each model produced with a placecard describing that model plus the cost. I think I counted 38 of them in that...

Since it is still OTF I though I would post this, although it is still an IH I added this Scout to my collection a couple of months ago. Had the 782 out doing yard work last Saturday and took a picture of them together. It is a 1980 Scout II, one of 35 built the very last day of Scout...
