    It depends, like he said, if the gas tank is higher than the carb. It also depends on whether you are planning on driving up steep hills or have a pretty flat area. My 108 doesn't have a fuel pump because it is a pulling tractor that drives on a straight track, but my dad's 582 and 1282 both...

    Thank you. We have the original engine, but it smoked very bad so we took the engine out of an old John Deere 112 before we got rid of it, since they have the same block and both are 10 horses.
