    Tractor lights

Wire them directly to the battery WITH a relay. Have a separate switch to trigger the relay... and have the switch wired to the ignition switch accessory side (so the lights go OFF when the ignition key is turned off)

I should be there about 9am Saturday with my 108 and a 1961 Studebaker Hawk... (the red one)

hello my name is cole rymer

My shop is in the same building as Trask Automotive on Brookford Road. (Across from the Sheetz/Ford dealer on RT66). I've been working out of High Point this week, but will be around the shop next week. (trying to retire.. it isn't going well :rolleyes:) I restore antique cars- but...

Cole, I am also from NC... very near to you... my shop is in Kernersville as well. If you can't get the 1200 moving... let me know here... maybe I can help. There is a show coming up in Thomasville, NC in a couple weeks. There are usually 10-15 vintage Cubs, as well as antique IH tractors...

    Choke question

Just guessing: Someone replaced the original carburetor with a new "knock-off"? I say this because- I did the same thing- and the choke was "reversed" from the original setup. OEM carb/ Cheap "Knockoff"... notice choke/shaft position: both chokes are "open" . but the levers are in different...

    Best Carb Cleaner

PineSol does work great!!! I use it with a stainless steel "stock-pot" and small electric hotplate (on very low)... for soaking starters, generators, and armatures (after disassembly). It would clean them without damaging the insulation or coating on the field coils and armature windings. Soak...

    Best Carb Cleaner

wear nitrile/vinyl gloves with the Berrymans... it stinks when on your hands... and takes a couple days to dissapate.. no matter how much you wash. (Head and Shoulders seems to be the best to get it off your hands).

    devilbiss spray gun.

I own a restoration shop... I have used the very guns you have (along with Binks, Graco, and others). They are obsolete. Lots of overspray, higher volume of air needed to spray, and lots of wasted paint in the bottom of the cup that can never be reached. I have used the HF guns to spray POR-15...

New Guy with Inoperable PTO Clutch on RZT50

I had a ZRT50 (2004?).. with an intermittant-then inoperable pto. It turned out that the RED wire that plugs into the PTO multi-wire plug... had gotten hot, melted the retaining tab, and the wire/connector vibrated loose. I was able to get it reinstalled, and glued a small piece of plastic into...

    All Things Deer

Did someone say Savage Model 99? Here is my Mom.. in 1956 with her 1st Deer, and the Model 99 (chambered in .300 Savage) she got for her birthday just weeks before. I also have my own 99. It's a 1951 with a Pachmayer flip-mount and Unertl 4X scope. I also have my Grandfathers Model 99 (1941)...

What started as a non-starting 129 is turning into much more...

I'm surprised no one mentioned these engines have a "compression release" to help in starting. It helps the engine turn over faster in initial cranking. As speed increases, so does compression. It is no surprise your reading was only 15#. Yes, the .030 number does indicate the engine has been...

Free or OBO to a good home, downsizing Bob Cat snow blower Vintage

Went and picked up this snowblower from Larry this evening. He cranked it up (2nd pull),and drove it easily up onto my utility trailer. I must say... Larry was being far too kind to be giving this away. So, I donated to his 1250 fuel-fund. His 1980 Cub 1250 is in excellent original condition. I...

Marty, What company are you trying to get the carport from? There are 3 carport mfgs in Mt Airy. I bought 3 from Carolina Carports = but that was more than 8 years ago.

    Newly Purchased 126

I have the original seat-pan from my (1974) 108... if it's the same. It's surface rusty, but solid. IF I can find it!!! (I don't throw stuff like that away). I'm only a couple hours from you, but will be heading to the Franklinton area next week to work on a 1958 Packard Hardtop. I could drop...

    No compression on 108

Surely, I cannot be the only one on here that knows the K241 engine has a "compression release" system during cranking.... The engine does NOT build any real pressure at slow cranking speeds (by hand)... though you CAN feel a slight push/pull of air circulation.... IF you can spin it fast...
