    1450 cub

Love my 1450... with that said,it isn't for everyone. Hand control takes getting used to if coming from a foot control. I know, launched myself into a bush (there may have been a few adult carbonated beverages involved). As -C3 stated, they don't turn on a dime, but if the yard has a basic...

Replace the crank seals. While it's open, pull your steering box apart, clean it and repack with new grease...👍😎👍

Fuel pump or no fuel pump?

My brother scored a 1541 for really cheap and transferred the Magnum engine over into his 782. Now on trying to start it, he found gas and oil coming out of the carb. Long story short, I told him to check the crankcase and sure enough, gas in the oil so while he waits for the carb rebuild kit...

    1978 1450 just.purchased

The Quietline series is like the red headed stepchild of the IH line.... overlooked but really nice when they're taken care of. My 1450 has been so reliable and always ready to go... Enjoy it, it's fairly easy to work on and will outlast your basic needs if you take care of it.

    1973 PTO Belt Questions

Not sure what brand of belt that is but I haven't seen any with those notches except really cheap belts. The belt seats in the PTO pulley (using your belt as an example, notches down inside the V of all the pulleys) then twists 90⁰ to seat in the mule drive pulleys, then twists back that same...

    Snow Removal Advice for 1650

I don't know how hard it is to find the attachments up there, but, if it were me, I'd do both a blade and a QA42A. They're not super fun but they're not that bad to change out and you can use the blade for anything wet or less than (I'd say) 6" of snow...just hook up the thrower when you're...

Guy got it with an 1810 and decided he probably wouldn't use it... even gave me the bottle of gear oil from Cub Cadet for it 👍😎👍

    Best model opinion?

There's a lot of good ones out there, it's so hard to whittle down the list. I think that there are many models from the (dare I say, the MTD era) Cyclops and prior that are worth owning. I bought my parents an 1864, that my brother is getting off of them - that thing mows a purdy yard and my...
