My first Cub Cadet is home!

I did some searching but was not able to find the picture I was thinking of. It's possible it wasn't even a Cub Cadet... Anyway, I did find this short video showing a setup with front blade and read scraper

My first Cub Cadet is home!

I've seen photos, perhaps even on this site, of folks with front and rear implements. I believe it was a push blade on the rear and snow blade or snow thrower on the front. I thought about it on my 107 but it's only a manual lift, so it probably won't happen

    pins & needles

I'd be curious to the answer of this as well.

    How Cold Is IT?

Hasn't gotten too terribly cold here in the Northwest Suburbs of Minneapolis, MN but we did get a good amount of snow yesterday. I measured about 4.5" on my driveway. I put my 107 to work with the 42" blade. I still need to make a decision on what to do for a lift on my 147, then that will get...

    Lawns 2020

Last week or so has been mostly leaf collection. I haven't yet gotten my Peco vac in working order, but I am certainly more motivated now. I sweep into piles, then suck them up with my Stihl leaf vac and dump them in the trailer. It's a bit of extra work running them thru the shredder vac but...

    147 Project

Yup I do plan to replace it, especially before doing any sort of snow duty (which will also require the lift to be working).

    147 Project

I've been putting the 147 to some work around the yard. Without a lift about all it can do is tow, but that's fine because it's that time of the year for me between the dethatcher, seed/fert spreader, aerator, and trailer all hook up to the drawbar. That was until Sunday, when it started having...

    International Cub Cadet 109 Hydro

I was also looking for the pin that hooks into the tow hitch to hold the platform snug to the tractor, as the one I got with the tractor was way too long. They said they no longer make it, but they were nice enough to provide me with the original part drawing. I just noticed, that document is...

    International Cub Cadet 109 Hydro

Nice find on the Peco Vac, I have one myself that I keep meaning to put some work into. I actually emailed the company looking for some replacement parts, I'll share my learnings:

Anyone Plowing/ Manure spreading for spring

oh yeah duh, it is a seed spreader.

    Rear tires 23/10:50-12

I've seen millertire.com mentioned before, but I have not used them personally (I lucked out and got a pair used locally) https://www.millertire.com/categories/lawn-garden-tires/23x10-50-12/

Anyone Plowing/ Manure spreading for spring

I'm clearing out a couple spots for spring gardens. Right now I am clearing the grass/brush. After they are cleared I will till and level them. I may run then over with the plow as well, but I plan to till first because the ground is pretty uneven and I didn't have great results when plowing...

    Pull behind lawn sweeper

Thinking a bit more about that idea, I could modify the sweeper hitch hookup to fit a sleeve hitch, and potentially lift the whole thing up when it gets full. Wouldn't have height adjust though, just up or down. I would also need to somehow lock it from pivoting when raised, and make sure the...

    Pull behind lawn sweeper

I've got a rope on mine, works great. It has a knot on the end and I just tuck it in the cubby beneath the seat on my 1x7s and it's there for me to pull when needed (I just gotta remember to keep an eye on how full the hopper is). I also grabbed some 1/4"-20 (I assumed that was the thread) wing...

    Lawns 2020

Good advice, that's what I did for the seed, but I just ran to HD for the starter fert because I was impatient and thought I would be putting it down soon. I had not heard of siteone but I will be checking it out! Looks great! I liked how my 107 cut, especially with the cast end deck, but I...

    I'll look into that option!

    Lawns 2020

Thanks for the info, I was beginning to worry it was getting a bit late for seeding myself. I may re-evaluate, I have some non-starter fertilizer I could use, and could order up some other herbicides if necessary. It is a 16 gallon tank. I might make up a spray bar but I wanted to see how well...

    Lawns 2020

I got 1/2 of the broadleaf weed killer sprayed so far. I don't have a pic of today's spray setup, but I've got some from when I made it: I opted for an ATV sprayer and a custom fabbed mount because it was cheaper than the same sized trailer based option, and it's easier to maneuver.

    Lawns 2020

I think I will continue with my dethatching, then fertilize. Thanks! It's my 2nd Cub, a 147. First was a 107, both are workers around my 2.3 acres.
