Charlie, I'm curious and can't tell from the pictures. Does that Model 70 have the rear PTO attachment? Looks like a great find.

Joshua, no engine or drive train upgrades. You'll learn to appreciate a spring assist or hydraulic lift if you want to do much plowing. If you drop me an email, I'll try to get some pictures. It's been so long ago I don't recall how I added the auxiliary brake.

Joshua, these pictures aren't the greatest, but here's my 126 plow tractor. I added an auxiliary brake pedal that you may be able to make out. It brakes the "land" wheel which is the one that usually looses traction. The clutch/brake pedal still activates both brakes. The auxiliary just...

    2015 L&GT Extravaganza

Rick, I only had room for 4 on the trailer. The FWA will be at the Boonville show in July. They counted over 600 garden tractors at the Extravaganza. It was quite a show. Cub Cadets were well represented.

    2015 L&GT Extravaganza

I'm loaded and ready to hook up the truck and go. It's been really hot here so I'm hoping to get there early tomorrow and beat the heat. If you come, stop by and say hello.

    2015 L&GT Extravaganza

The 2015 L&GT Extravaganza will be June 11, 12, and 13 at the Fairgrounds in Evansville, IN. (L&GT is one of the sponsors of this site. See the colorful boxes above.) There will be exhibitors from throughout the Midwest, as well as from as far away as Texas. If you can attend I’m sure you’ll...

Congrats, Charlie. I picked up a NOS one of those a couple months ago. If you need any measurements or pictures, just let me know. I'd be glad to help you out.

Let's see some of your homemade attachments

Allen, yes it drives off the left wheel and the right wheel just free wheels on the axle. I couldn't figure out a simple cog mechanism to duplicate what is on a New Holland rake. I can still remember that mechanism clicking on corners while using a New Holland rake.

I got the rear PTO. Thanks, Joe.

And here's a mini-rake that I made to use until we got an EZ-Vac.

I like this link!! Here's a picture of a plow I made to pull behind my Mini-H.

Way past time for this topic to show up.

I have a whole section on my website listing these attachments that I have. It's here if I can remember how to do a link.

David, you are correct about it being hard on the throw out bearing. A fellow I know used a creeper to get a neutral on his groundsaw without locking the clutch pedal down and I plan to eventually do the same thing.

The Hawk Bilt Groundsaw required the rear PTO to move it forward. To use the Groundsaw the operator has to lock the clutch pedal down and engage the PTO. There's a hydraulic motor that rotates the rear PTO and drives the Cub Cadet forward through the transmission.

    Trading Post

I would like to trade a wide frame three point hitch and spring assist for a Cub Cadet rear PTO that will fit a Model 100 Cub Cadet. I'm located in southwestern Indiana. You can contact me through my email or website listed in my profile. Thanks.

Don T. I don't know if it will help, but everything I know about voltage regulators is here. I struggled with them and finally just sat down and spent some time trying to figure out what was going on. I think the one you've been describing is about half way through the writeup.

    Model H-900 Groundsaw

Paul B. Yes, that is the second one. The first one was just the opposite -- worn and rusted. It will get used, but this one will never see dirt. Doug, yes, it came out of Washington. Apparently the guy lives close to Spokane. I calculated that with gas at a little less than 3 bucks a...

    Model H-900 Groundsaw

A fellow contacted me through my website wanting to sell a NOS H-900 groundsaw. It was manufactured in 1968 and had never been used or mounted on a tractor. I purchased it from him, and he had it shipped to me by Fastenal. And as a plug for Fastenal, it was shipped from Washington state to...

Marlin, to make a long story short, a couple months ago I had to hurriedly switch my Cub Cadet website over to different software or chance losing a lot of information. Until you posted I hadn't noticed how small those pictures were. I've updated them this morning and I think you'll be able to...

I have a Hawk Bilt Groundsaw that requires the rear transmission. While digging the forward motion of the tractor is powered by a hydraulic motor connected to the rear PTO that drives the transmission. It is the only attachment that I know of that requires the rear PTO, but it does require it...
