    i moved gov arm first, then shaft, if that makes a difference. other then that, yes, that is how i adjusted the gov.

    would not surprise me. i do not think the previous owner serviced the tractor once, since he bought it new. if i do not figure this out soon, i am going to buy another cub and turn this one into a flower planter.

    128 with the second stalling problem. adjusted governor arm and shaft, replaced governor spring. put new spring in third hole from bottom on governor linkage .put spring in top hole on throttle linkage. checked RPM's, they dropped to 2500, full throttle, no load. left it there for now...

    lets try it this way, if your 128 stalled when you hit a patch of tall grass, you knew the grass was not too tall, you heard the governor start to raise the RPM's, then the tractor stalled, what would you guys check first? would you try to adjust the governor spring?
