i believe i have cam stop set correctly. i just remembered, first time i tried to hook it up, the belt the PO gave me was the wrong size, i wonder if this snow thrower might not be for this tractor? pics to follow. lets see if we can ID the thrower first.

have the owners manual for the thrower. cant be the lift rod, there is play in it, no weight on it. meaning, it will go further.

snow thrower wont go down low enough. QA-42A. 129. obviously, i am doing something stupid and not smart enough to see it. snow thrower sits 6" off the ground. equipment lift handle is all the way forward, there is play in it so it is not holding the snow thrower up. looking at the...

did I start a fight? sorry. the short version of my story is, I bought the 128. it stalls. replaced, adjusted everything, except the exhaust valve. to fix it, I need to take it out of service and I need a tractor. so, I bought the 129. the 129 has a PTO clutch, but no linkage. while...

Kraig McConaughey - yes, that is correct. and I did think of that. and I am sure I would get more then an extension cord or dog run wrapped in it if I tried it without the clutch linkage to turn it off. I could move the PTO linkage from the 128 to the 129, but if the PTO clutch does not work...

replacing an exhaust valve on a K301A. engine stalls when hot, under load and at full throttle. have checked everything you guys suggested except replacing the exhaust valve. since I have never replaced an exhaust valve before, I wanted to to ask for suggestions on the best way to do it. I...

yes, I know I could push snow with a plow, if i had a plow. as I said, it is probably best if I stop trying to get something ready for snow and just work on getting one of them ready for grass. now I just have to decide which to work on first, PTO clutch, which has to have the screws drilled...

Wayne Shytle - i have two tractors I cant move snow with and 2' of snow to move. I was hoping for a quick temporary fix. get one working while I fix the other. oh well. guess I should give up on the snow and aim for getting one ready in time to cut grass.

Kraig McConaughey- so, could I run it without the fiber button, it cant hurt it any more then it is, can it? If the clutch works I could use it while fixing the 128, then remove and repair the 129 clutch.

I just posted a question about the thrust button on the PTO clutch of a 129. some of you wondered if it was a clutch with a brake, and the stud I was referring to is part of the clutch, not the remains of a thrust button after, god only knows what, the PO did do it. I believe it is a...

jeff l baker - what I have is a 128 with a working PTO, but an engine that wont stay running, and a 129 with a working engine, and a clutch, but no PTO linkage. so I have no idea if the clutch works. I could put the 129 engine in the 128, but if the clutch on the 129 works, I would rather use...

how important is the thrust button on the PTO of a 128? can I run it for a few minutes just to see if the clutch works? or will it chew through the wear button really fast? can the thrust button be easily removed, or do i have to disassemble the clutch? I have a 128 and a 129. one with a...

Wayne Shytle - shaft can be moved out of either side of the frame. meaning, i can push it into the left side of the frame by pulling it out of the right side of the frame, and vice versa. rod with the turnbuckle is off. grill is off. i realize either the wrench or torch will work, i just...

Donald Tanner - dont start. this is what i found today. first pic is when i opened my front door. second is my truck. third is my car. fourth is the town, apparently thinking I would like more snow in my driveway, so they pushed the snow from the street half way up my driveway and across...

Wayne Shytle thought of that too. the problem is, there is not much room to work in, no matter how i do it. just wondering if anybody had an easier way. whether i heat and twist with vice grips, or hit with the wrench, not much room for swinging or twisting.
