Might be picking up a snowthrower today assuming its a QA42A... I tried looking at the faq for some info, then a search, but the search would either find a million posts about snowthrowers or nothing at all for a more specific search. Lonny... workable no doubt but if I had to pay that much I'd just buy the wood instead. I've never seen that green one but the Logrite goes for over $1500... just for the one attached to the atv. Think I'll pass.- tstewart

Ben - I think my problem is both my machines have sleeve hitches unless one of them has the tiller gearbox on so I might have to do some kind of removable frame mount instead of diff mount. Randy, nice 1600! And you modded decal to, nice! Ben, I think a winch and boom are on my short list. Maybe a summer project this year. Just have to figure out how to attach one were it can be fairly easily removable since I dont have enough tractors to have one only dedicated to such use. Or...- tstewart

Anyone else pull logs with a cub? An related but seperate topic I am always looking for ways to improve the cubs and since I love my 1000 I've wanted to put a bigger motor in it and have a junk 1450 sitting here. Rod, Thanks it sure is nice there. That particular farm the family doesnt farm anymore and its more a less a weekend getaway, hunting camp, and source of precious firewood for several of us. Over 200 acres and nearly half wooded. Zig zag... sort of. The hill is pretty much even all the way...- tstewart

Logging season is upon me so had some questions... Has anyone used a cub to skid logs? I've been toying with the idea of building a log arch but I'm already having traction issues getting up the big hill with a dump cart load of rounds. Dragging a log might not work. OK, I'll try to paint it... other thought is I have a sample can of Fluid Film (a spray on rust preventetive) that I havent tried yet. Would spraying it prevent rust or not nearly work as well?- tstewart

Quick question for those that have replaced thier shoes on thier snow blades... do you paint them? Didnt realize they come unpainted but wonder if the paint really holds up anyhow. Unless I bring it inside to paint (wife will be thrilled) I dont have much a choice at this stage of the game, so...- tstewart

While I got snow blades on my mind... taking a look at CCSpecialties there are two skid shoes, OEM and heavy duty. The oem ones are 50% more expensive than the heavy duty ones, is there an actual difference in the shoe which would effect performance or are the oem ones pricier just because they...- tstewart
