    My 1512D for dog rebuild

Don, I saw in the main forum that the 450 didn't do so well in the wet, heavy snow you get. We've had similar snowfalls lately, so I might offer a tip. Before heading out, spray the chute area with slippery stuff, I use furniture polish ; it seems to do great and last. Next, in the wet...

    Back up lights/rear floods

I think the hydro pump shaft end can use the splined end from a 1782 for example. You need one from a Super GT model

    Back up lights/rear floods

Don, No way was I rippin' on your rear light; I like the way you have it. I know, I often use parts I have around as well.

    Back up lights/rear floods

Art, A 55w sealed beam takes ~4amp, I don't recall exactly but I think an electric PTO will pull~7a. The microswitch is rated (if you can read the printing) on the side of the switch body, for an LED no relay would be needed , but not sure of the switches rating offhand.

    Back up lights/rear floods

Art, Sure, why not use the microswitch to power the light in reverse? Nice concept and not tough to do! Congrats!

    John deere

Boys, does that bring back great memories! I used to own and pull a turbo'd G 1000 Vista MM in the 80's. Really got to appreciate those cast iron monsters. Pulled in everything from 8500 to 15000# That was slinging weights! Wrenched with Lyle Hull and his two MM's (5-Star and G705) on NTPA...

    Back up lights/rear floods

Using an LED light would save a ton on current draw over an incandescent 55w bulb, so the charging system isn't overtaxed. Tractor output is 15 amps; using electric clutch plus existing lights doesn't leave much for charging already. Just sayin' from experience....

    Cub Cadet 680 HYD LIFT

That is correct, the RED version of a 680 is the 1282, by the way. Hydro, 12 HP Kohler, manual lift. Added to the lineup due to demand for a 1250 replacement, more or less. To add hydraulic lift would be an expensive proposition. If you compare the 682 and 782 parts you could get a good idea...

    A plce for snow pictures

Steve, Looks like the perfect day to have a cab on the 782! I noticed how the added height of the blower housing helps in pic 1. I saw the way it contained all the flying dust from the auger rotation instead of it covering the tractor hood. Nice addition!

    Computer question. . . .

I think that is due to the Auto-Fill feature for passwords in Norton.

Dennis, Kohler's other big brothers to the KT 17 were the KT 19 and 21's, believe it or not. The KT19 was used by Simplicity I think, or possibly Ariens. Parts for these are almost 100% NLA also. Those K532/582 engines were all cast iron blocks and cylinder barrels. so they weighed a ton...

Jim H, Along with what Denny said, I'd drain the gas and dump it in your truck or whatever. Buy fresh gas (higher volume station) and use only the good stuff, no ethanol blends. Remember that ethanol requires MORE fuel than gasoline; results in a leaner mixture. Does your Onan carb...

This country is well on the road to becoming the Roman Empire in it's last days, isn't it? I hope the entire Robertson clan says "up yours" to A&E network and moves. The Good Book already covered that issue, nuff said. I will not hate on anyone of that lifestyle but I sure as hell will not...

Donald, The quick answer is YES, you need to use spiral pins, not roll pins for the clutch. Spiral pins are much more durable and last. Roll pins, not so much

Paul, I wish you all the best outcome with this, a prayer has been spoken for you. I ask for God's help with this for you.

    Three Stage Cub snow blowers

Something tells me that front slinger-thing is not even supported by a ball bearing, just an oilite bushing most likely. Sad... to think they spend $ on this but continually end parts support for many newer model tractors like the 1772, 2284 and such. Heck, those are some of the best CCC had...
