    Spring 2010 Plow Day

Just found out that field is just over 60 acres. So with the little bit of headlands, and the tile blowout, we easily plowed 60 acres. First time I've actually ran out of ground!!! Glenn's signature after sitting at Screwballs for a few hours. And I think he may have dropped his velcro gloves...

    Spring 2010 Plow Day

A big THANK YOU to everyone that came to plow day this year!!! This was by far my most enjoyable one. I actually got to kick back and talk a little and have some laughs. Glenn had a little too much to drink Friday night, went out to the field with his plow and signed his name in the field...

    Spring 2010 Plow Day

Unless we get dumped on tonight or tomorrow, it will be a go this weekend. For those of you familiar with David Rottinghaus and his work, he may be there with painting/prints. He has some nice outdoor and farm/tractor stuff. If you want to preview or pre-order you can go here David Rottinghaus

    Spring 2010 Plow Day

So far the field conditions are really nice. It's actually really dry, so if it rains a little this week, it'll still be fine. This will more than likely be the last plow day I will be hosting, so I'm hoping the weather cooperates :-)

Just to let everyone know, the fire dept has bought a new grass truck, and a good portion of the funds (over half) came from plowday fundraiser money!!!!

    Spring 2010 Plow Day

Hugh, you must've had different conditions than we did this year. I helped dig a grave 3 weeks ago, and there was no frost :-) Field is melted off, and dried a lot today. We'll see what mother nature has in store the next few weeks. It is the 10th of April. Sorry for the confusion.

I just got a "barn fresh" 1650 last night, and I'm looking for a quick sale. Later model with aluminum axle housings, 1" front spindles, aluminum lower grill. Looked to be a 42" mower deck. He says it ran good when parked, but hasn't ran for a year or so. Sorry, was too dark to take a pic. First...

Well, I will again host the spring Plow Day for 2010, and thought I would post now so people can make plans. It will be April 11th 2010 with the 18th as a rain date. Hopefully the weather cooperates better than it has this fall. By now everyone knows how my plowdays roll, and it'll be the same...
