Got to thinking last night on my "reverse" action lift switch. I'm thinking maybe since the switch is kinda loose in the dash, it got rotated around? Seems plausible why it works backwards. Wonder why they didn't locate it with a notch/flat spot to keep it clocked properly. Since I'm...- lkortkamp

Well, I got the muffler installed and tightened down tonight. It's back to "quiet" running. It's a decent evening, not too cold so I got around to swapping out the lift handle for the electric lift rocker and guard. It's starting to look like something again. BTW, I found my muffler. Hidden in a box of electric lift parts that got covered up a few months ago. I just couldn't believe I threw it out! Its a bit rough, but useable for now. I got it stuck on, just need to snug it up. Since I dug out the lift parts I guess I need to get the crossbar...- lkortkamp

Well, the old 127 is alive! Got the rebuilt 12 running. Took some finesse to get some fresh gas to it but once I did it lit off quickly. Idles smooth, goes right up to WOT. Starts easy after warmed up. It's only like 25* out(I'm working in the driveway). Only thing I forgot was a new...- lkortkamp

HH and Kraig. Yes, I have the arm on it!! I did recall that being behind the pulley enough to not be able to get to it afterwards. Thanks for thinking of me. Mine was very tough to get off and was not going to slip back on. I'm sure with some polishing I could get it to just slip on. Likely what I will do. I wasn't sure if it was meant to be a press fit or not?- lkortkamp

Wayne, yes that is it. I figure there was some technical name for it, but I figure starter pulley would be close enough. I guess the "basket" part is for the PTO clutch disc. I guess I could pull it on using a bolt, but figured if I warmed it ever so slightly I could maybe just slip it on...- lkortkamp

Nice work on the bucket! Here is my update from this weekend. Got my new pack of rings in, file fit the replacement for the broken one and got things put together. Not too hateful. Harry, yes that spring. I've already got it all apart basically so it is just remove three screws and install new springs. I was poking around CCparts and it says "2 required". Last night in the cold/dark I spent an hour mulching leaves. I think this should take care of most of them from my neighbor(grrr). Seems I need a headlight for the 149. Plus a clutch spring for the 127. Hmm, need to make a list and get an order started.- lkortkamp

I still have leaves to mulch up, I can't put the blade on yet!! Last year I warded off the snow by not putting the blade on the tractor. Only had a couple bad days and it melted off fast. Never did put the blade on all winter. Take that mother nature!!!- lkortkamp

Ya, that little piece of aluminum can be a real heart breaker. Lost my first 100 a long time ago due to it falling off while mowing the yard. Suddenly the motor started slowing down, more and more, I quickly headed for the garage. Just barely made it when it locked up tight. Didn't hurt...- lkortkamp
